Rules & Regulations

Please keep this sheet in the front of your binder along with your Reference Tables.

Don'ts
  1. DON'T CALL OUT. If you have something to say raise your hand. Students who continuously call out will have points deducted from their averages.
  2. DON'T TALK DURING THE LESSON. Same rules apply here. Talking to your friends while I am teaching is extremely rude and leads to a cranky teacher.
  3. Don't leave garbage on or beneath your desks. Clean up before you leave.
  4. No electronic Devices - They will be confiscated.

Do's

  1. Be polite to all members of the class all the times.
  2. Be in your seats and ready to work when the bell rings. This means notebooks, reference tables and agenda books out. There will often be a questions on the overhead when you walk in. You should immediately start working on it.
  3. During double periods, when the end of the first period bell rings REMAIN IN YOUR SEATS. I will usually give you a break, but not in the middle of a lab or lesson. Wait to be dismissed.
  4. Clean up your lab area before you leave the classroom! We have to share this room with other classes and no on wants to walk into a mess.

Attendance Policies

  1. Lateness. If you are late to class three times you will receive detention and one absence. If you are late to a double period you will not be allowed a break between periods with the rest of the class.
  2. Absence. As per school policy, you need to submit a note from the attendance office when you return. 9 absences in two quarter means you will be put on an attendance contract for the semester.
  3. If you miss a lab it is your responsibility to make it up. Either during extra help or a free period.
  4. HW's should be completed regardless of absence. Take your review books home each night. You have one day to make up HW if you are absent. No late HW accepted unless you have been absent.
  5. Extra Help - Three days a week (days will change depending on exam schedule) in E212 or by appointment only!

Supplies

For the school year you will need to have the following everyday:
  1. Binder - You will need ONE, three ring binder.
  2. Notes binder - Most of your notes will be taken on handouts.
  3. A pencil case that fits in the notes binder (three holes) to hold your lab supplies which will include:
  4. Pencils - if you prefer to write in pen, bring that as well, but you must have a pencil for labs.  Keep them in your notes binder. Four pencils will be collected to be left in the classroom
